The book it is meant as a warning of foolishly jeopardizing the world's last paradises. It reveals under which circumstances the way could be paved for achieving a sustainable development for the island. Ihre Entwicklungsperspektiven sind vom Spagat zwischen Tourismus und Naturschutz gepragt. Das touristische Marketing fur die Insel ist auf Okotourismus ausgelegt, die im Tourismus beschaftigten Akteure sind jedoch unzureichend geschult und haben oftmals kein Bewusstsein fur die fragile Umwelt.
